    Added Photos

I just added two photos to Elainie's photo album:

The first addition is of her team, the 2005 Major Girls Champions. They won 20 games in a row.

The second photo added is of Elainie with her coach, Frank Heese, and Alisha Dunnick. These three were Major Tigerettes in 2004. That team was also 20 -0. So that plus the 2005 team being 20 - 0, makes these three winners of 40 games! Way to coach, Frank!

Elainie and Alisha will move up to Jr/Sr. Girls in 2006!

In the classroom I am doing very well. I currently have 302 points out of 300 possible thanks to doing well on tests, quizes and doing an extra credit worksheets.

We start with clinicals on July 7th. Half our class will be in Ames at Northcrest. The other half, including myself, will be at Eastern Star in Boone. We will be paired with a partner and dressed in our new white uniforms.
I can't wait to meet and help a new bunch of friends!

    A Flock of Geese

    A Flock of Geese

*As each bird flaps it's wings, it creates an uplift for the bird following. By flying in a "V" formation, the whole flock adds 71% more to its range than if flying alone.     Lesson - Teammates who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they're going quicker and easier.

When the lead goose tires, it rotates back into the formation and another one flies at the point position.  Lesson - It pays to take turns doing hard tasks and sharing the leader's role.

*In formation, the geese from behind honk to encourage those in front to keep up their speed   Lesson - Sometimes team members need to hear a little honking!

*Whenever a goose is sick or wounded, two geese drop out of the formation to help and protect it. They stay with it until it can fly again or dies.    Lesson - Stand by one another in times of trouble.

    Photos...

Today I added photo albums to this site so I decided I better explain them.

One of the photo albums is Jason, my husband of 14 years. We met in what used to be the Domino's Pizza parking lot (now Duds n Suds) in downtown Boone while cruisin' back in 1990.

The next is John, our 13 year old son. John is into video games and computers. John participated in 7th grade football by being the team manager, he played basketball, and has participated in YuGiOh tournaments. He also loves to read books and to go swimming.

Elainie is our 12 year old daughter. She excels in everything she does. She was on the honor roll four times this year and received several academic awards. She was also active on the Student Council, ballet and jazz dancing, softball, and loves to swim. Elainie loves to play softball. She is on the All-Star team for Major girls this year. I wish them luck! Her and a group of friends  put together a lip sync and dance routine to the song RESPECT for their school talent show earlier this year. What fun it was to watch!

Alexis is six years old and has learned to ride a big two wheeler this spring. Alexis took ballet and tap for dance and participates in T-shirt softball. She is a true animal lover. Not to mention she loves to catch fire flies, swim, and chalk awesome pictures on the sidewalks. She is very independent and wants to do everything by herself, which often gets her into trouble. Everyone comments about how beautiful her big brown eyes are. They are used most often to get what she wants by batting her eyelashes... LOL!

The other photo album is of creative photos that I have take over the past couple years. There are some barn photos, bridge photos, a windmill photo... among others. I hope you enjoy the photo albums!

    ANYWAY

I got this recently and loved what it has to offer. I hope you do to:

People quite often are unreasonable, illogical and self centered. Love them anyway!

If you do good, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Do good anyway!

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway!

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway!

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway!

The biggest people with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest people with the smallest minds. Think big anyway!

People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs. Fight for some underdogs anyway!

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway!

Give the world the best you have and you might get knocked in the teeth. Give the world the best you've got anyway!

Good luck and God bless you!
